Sophos Reporting Log Writer

Sophos Reporting Log Writer is a specialized application that enables you to use third-party log-monitoring applications, such as Splunk, to generate reports from threat and event data in Sophos Enterprise Console. It can be installed on a standalone SEC installation or any computer with access to the Enterprise Console database. The default configuration includes two data feeds: DefaultCommonEvents.log and DefaultThreats.log, which extract common event and threat event data, respectively. You can customize the configuration to suit your requirements by modifying the connection settings, specifying the number of days of historical data to retrieve, and adjusting the command timeout. Log Writer helps you leverage your existing security investments by enabling integration with third-party reporting tools, providing enhanced visibility and analysis capabilities for your security data.
